Summer Lodge was a great base for me to visit friends in Kissamos and Chania. It is a true family run establishment, quite small with a genuine sense of personal care and friendliness - from the managers to the cleaner. My room was simple but had all the essentials. It was quiet, private and stayed cool in temperatures over 30 deg. Wifi was available throughout. The pool was clean and well maintained. Swallows were nesting undisturbed in the buildings. The whole place had an atmosphere of calm and peace. The beach is a short (400mtr) walk away and there are shops and restaurants within easy reach. I relied on the bus service to get around. It runs on an hourly basis between Chania and Kissamos. Buses are punctual, clean, air-conditioned and incredibly cheap. Overall, if you are looking for a unique and special place to stay in Western Crete, that is not a busy commercial resort, I can highly recommend Summer Lodge.

The horror, a boss who sells lots of things but it is not the case, moreover, I stayed one night instead of one and it was last June. I'm sure that the people who give a positive opinion are acquaintances to the couple it's not possible otherwise....

Ce petit hôtel est vraiment très sympathique et chaleureux, mon séjour qui se termine dimanche est déjà totalement réussie et en grande partie grâce à cet hôtel familial. Les hôtes contribuent grandement à la réussite d’un parfait séjour de par leur grande gentillesse, une véritable immersion en Crète. Les chambres sont en totale adéquation avec ce qui est décrit, je dirais même un cran supérieur, beaucoup de discrétion, beaucoup de simplicité, à trois minutes d’une superbe plage… Si je reviens dans le coin, je choisirai sans hésiter cet hôtel qui est pour moi d’une authenticité totale.

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo!!! Vassilis è un ottimo padrone di casa, gentile e disponibilissimo!!! La camere sono semplici, per le pulizie ed il cambio asciugamani e lenzuola basta chiedere...everything possible!!!

Da 15 anni soggiorno qui, nella stanza n.6, fresca e comoda. Per me è come stare in famiglia! Stanze essenziali e pulite, non c'è la tv ma il wi-fi è ottimo. Nella "mia" stanza c'è un efficace ventilatore e un frigo. Il bagno è piccolo (portatevi il phon) ma il letto è comodissimo. Dista 15 km da Chania, ci sono bus pubblici ogni 20' per la città. Il ricco giardino e la piscina sono deliziosi. Il mare dista 300 m. Ottimo per chi ama il silenzio, la pace, un tocco di stile cretese autentico e l'amicizia. Al prossimo anno!

Bjr, je devait y séjourner 1 mois(juin) suis resté 1 nuit. Petite chambre sdb et balcon RIEN D'AUTRE le minimum même pas une bouloire électrique pour un café RIEN. Triste experience. Exige payer casch. Tout est fait pour qu'on ne sache rien faire dans les chambres. Pas de bureau comme marqué, rien pour pendre son linge une seule corde au fond du jardin pour tous. Rien n'est fait pour savoir y rester comme il est dit RIEN.
