The hotel is in need of a makeover, some of the fittings a little outdated. The pool is little more than a plunge pool though the setting is superb. The breakfast is average, so much so that whilst my wife went for breakfast most days I stayed in the room and just had yoghurts. The minibar doesn’t work and nothing is cold in it. There’s no room service menu though they allow outside deliveries for guests. That’s all the bad points. Now for the good points.
The rooftop bar is relaxed and atmospheric, the sunsets there are sensational and the cocktails are superb. The service from the staff was incredible. Always helpful and informative and willing to go the extra mile to make you welcome and that makes up for the shortcomings of the actual building itself.
Also the location close to Perrybere beach and a short taxi ride to Grand Baie is pretty good too, though it’s a long taxi ride from the airport.

The stay at this Hotel was amazing. Vikesh and Michael where the two managers and upgraded our rooms because we had a small problem with our original room. the wait staff where amazing Raj,Shanish and Minesh kept me well hydrated. Ryan and Lenado where our fantastic waitors. They have a brilliant chef Adhil that served 5 star and Michelin quality food. i would recommend this hotel to any travllers. it is a short distance from Grand Baie central that you can catch a taxi or take a walk too. the nicer beaches are also a short drive away.there are a few average beaches within walking distance

Located in the north of Mauritius, the hotel is relatively small and does not belong to the size of a resort hotel. The only feature is the swimming pool on the rooftop. The restaurant is also on the rooftop, where you can enjoy the sea view and sunset.

Very good man Novin, very attentive and knows its work. The hotel is very good and comfortable for rest. 200% We'll return dream!!! The hotel is very clean and nice smells, views of chic, food is very tasty! Service at the highest level! Classic!!!

Good location and really nice hotel. Staff were very friendly and accommodating - especially Novin. Breakfast was delicious. Only downside is the road noise. Fine when you're sleeping but noisy all throughout the day, early morning and evening.

Everything was in a great atmosphere, starting from check in, throughout the stay, meals and check out. The rooms were cleaned every day, if necessary even twice a day. Mr. Navin Jhanvi was always helpful to us and fulfilled all our expectations. I can recommend staying at Ocean V.

Disappointing hotel. We were recommended by family and unfortunately did not live up to the hype. rooms were very small, and not very clean, rug in the room was stained, bathroom was moldy and wc had no fan, so room got easily smelly. there was also a moldy blind in the bathroom. For a hotel that is not very old the upkeep has been terrible, everything is faded and even the door card key lock didn’t work and we had to use a key, to open a door that was really difficult to open and the lock was broken with a chain added for security. Staff were pleasant, some a bit weird. Suraj at the bar was very friendly and made our time a bit more pleasant. The hotel is also on a main road and has no garden or any place outdoors, except for rooftop bar and pool to hangout in. Close to grand baie, but would stay somewhere less clinical next time.
